Team
Allen - Founder
Food Engineer
Armed with a Twitter account and an unstoppable dream to start a food truck, Allen started Me.n.u from the bottom and networked his way up to the top. Then he created the Fried Riceball that put us on the map. Allen continues to expand our unique menu with different flavours and techniques from around the world.
Joe
MC / General Manager
Joe's passion to take Me.n.u to the next level gives us that extra boost of energy day in and day out. He is the key to our Entertainment expansion. Joe also brings 10+ years in the Fast Food & Beverage industry, which makes him a double threat.
Candice
Life Saver
Thank you Vancouver, for giving us Candice. She's our Life Saver! Whenever we need help, she's there. She also has a knack for keeping our customers entertained. Her sweetness keeps them coming back for more.
Rebecca
Glue Girl
Every team needs somebody they can always rely on. Rebecca does a little bit of everything to make our team successful, from making riceballs, panko’ing, deep-frying, garnishing, saucing, and selling. She is the glue that holds this team together.
Nick
Horsepower
As our first employee, Nick helps us do all the hard work behind the scenes. He provides us with that much needed 'Horsepower' to speed up our prep and clean up time. His street smarts, work ethic, and physical strength makes him the right guy for the job.
Bryan - Founder
Creative Accountant
Bryan escaped the 9-5 office life to start Me.n.u with his best friend. He used a clever combination of creative branding and financial savviness to evolve Me.n.u into a legitimate business with rapid growth. Bryan is focused on building the team and collaborating with other businesses to reach new heights.
Raphael
The Traveler
The Traveler came all the way from Germany just to work on our truck. Now that's commitment! In just a short time, he's already become a pro and a valuable asset to the team. Raph inspires us to grow an international team of Travelers seeking work in Canada. Too cool.
Steven
Sauce Baus
No one has volunteered his or her time more than Steven. When he’s not helping us prep riceballs or taking GoPro time lapses, you can find him saucing our riceballs like a BAUS! He makes them look oh so Instagram-able.
Sarah
Money Honey
She calls you honey and then takes your money. Sarah is the perfect front girl with her Emmy-award-worthy smile, and welcoming personality. Money Honey is our #1 fan, so when she genuinely explains how tasty our riceballs are, you won't be able to resist.

It’s been too long since our last blog post. We have been on quite the roller-coaster ride since coming back from our travels in Asia, and summer hasn’t even started yet. Calm before the storm? More like storm before the hurricane.

Meeting new people from around the world is one of the greatest joys of traveling. The relationships you make are what you remember the most. I’ve learned so much about myself, and the world we live in through meaningful conversations with others. In fact, many of these conversations took place in hostels.

In the story of Life of Pi, the author tells two versions of the same story, one which is more believable than the other. In both stories however, the truth still transpires; Pi’s family dies and he survives an amazing adventure. Which version do you believe? He’s trying to say that the story with God is a better story. Now whether you’re religious or not, there is something we can all take away from this: You can choose your own story.

Go with the flow. Don’t get caught up in creating a genius itinerary with your whole trip already planned out. That’s not the way to travel. All you have to do is be yourself and be open to talk to strangers. Eventually you’ll find yourself travelling with other people from around the world and doing things that no top 10 list can tell you.

For anyone that has been interested in or wanting to travel to Thailand lately, I’m sure you must have heard something about the protests going on. My family and friends have been voicing their concerns about current state of Thailand and whether or not it was a safe time to visit.
Well, we took your advice, but we went anyways. And man was it something special to experience.

I get it. We don’t need to travel all the way to South East Asia to learn new recipes, and we don’t need to travel for 40 days. But you know what? We wanted to. And we put ourselves in a position that allows us too. So why not seize the opportunity?

We never attempted anything like this before. We had no logo, no cooking supplies, and no menu. The only thing we had was high expectations. But believe me, where there is a will, there is a way.
